Filter media for polymers production

The commonly used metal filter media for polymers include:

1. Stainless steel wire mesh can intercept deformable particles, such as colloids, under high pressure difference;

2. The sintered metal mesh is made of multi-layer sintered 304 and 316 stainless steel wire mesh, with a very thin inner layer, used to determine filtration accuracy. The inner layer is supported and protected by upper and lower coarse mesh. It is a surface filtration medium that facilitates backwashing. Suitable for high temperature, corrosive, and high-pressure operating conditions. It is not bent, not layered, durable, and has a long service life. This board can be used to make filter tubes, discs, and other components.

3. Sintered metal fiber (semi non-woven fabric), made of fine metal fibers, is paved, stacked, and sintered at high temperature through non-woven fabric. Stainless steel bonded felt forms pore gradients from different pore layers, which can control high filtration accuracy and pollution suppression ability. It has the characteristics of three-dimensional grid, porous structure, high permeability, large area, and uniform pore size distribution, which can continuously maintain the filtering effect of the filter cloth.

Generally, 10-20 micron metal fiber media is selected for filtering textile resin; 20-40 micron metal fiber filter packaging materials should be made of resin or bottled resin.

At present, there are two main types of original filtration used for polymer filtration, namely cylindrical candle type and sheet disc type. They belong to sandwich type, where the upper layer (or outer layer) is a relatively thick protective layer of woven mesh filter medium, The lower layer (or inner layer) is a relatively thin woven mesh support layer to prevent the fiber filter medium from being damaged under high pressure. In both designs, the middle and lower (internal) braided networks are supported by porous plates.
